Temple Rebuilt Isaiah 44 and 45 predict that a great ruler named Cyrus will allow the captive Jews in Babylon to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple. This was fulfilled hundreds of years later and is confirmed in the archaeological record.
A Village without Walls Zechariah 2:4 predicts that one day, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as villages without walls — a modern metropolis. Almost 2,500 years later, this prophecy was fulfilled, as modern dwellings were constructed just outside the western side of the Old City, in the 19th century.
Eastern Gate Sealed Ezekiel 44 predicts that the eastern gate of the Old City of Jerusalem will be sealed until the Messiah enters it in the last days. Hundreds of years ago, the Turkish ruler of the city ordered the Eastern Gate shut, and it remains sealed to this day.
Jews will return to the land Isaiah 61:4,5 predicts that one day, the Jews will return to the land of their forefathers and workers from many nations will work for them. Today, more Jews live in Israel than anywhere else in the world, and many foreign workers are employed in the country.
